Matt is a proven leader committed to building healthy, resilient communities, strengthening local businesses, and expanding opportunity and fairness across our Commonwealth. A Somerville native, Iraq War veteran, youth advocate, labor activist, and community organizer, Matthew serves as City Councilor for the most diverse district in the city, where he has worked to ensure every resident has a voice and that government operates effectively and equitably for all.
